Bata has donated shoes for the children of Utsho Bangladesh on 4th February, 2013 under the ‘Bata Children Program’. The Bata Children’s Program Foundation was launched in 2010 to bring all Bata community initiatives focused on children under one umbrella and thus allowing for greater cohesion and impact. We're very happy to share that Dr. Lamia Karim has donated Tk. 50,000.00 from the royalties received from her book, Microfinance and Its Discontents: Women in Debt Bangladesh, to Utsho Bangladesh, December 26, 2012 published by University of Minnesota Press.
